Sometimes, you just need to hear it from someone else to know you’re going to be okay. When those times come for me, I have found the encouraging words and sentiments of Morgan Harper Nichols to be of much comfort to me. I hope they will do the same for you!

“I know this world is moving onward in all of the fastest ways, but I hope that you can still find meaning and beauty in things that come together slowly and intentionally. I hope you find the peace you need in moments unhurried, where you are reminded it’s alright to embrace the quieter days of your life.”
“I will grow, even in this wasteland. I will know, waiting in the valley. I will hope, watering these seeds. I still know, even in this wasteland. I still grow.”
“And if everything does not fall into place at the same time and pace that does not mean that the years you’ve waited have somehow been a waste. Keep planting, sowing, living and knowing that beautiful things take time…and that’s okay.”
“Over rivers and valleys, mountains and plains—over all you have lost and all you have gained. Over all you have gathered, and all you let go, you have traveled at length through the wild of unknowns. And through all that is changing you can see you have grown. You have walked in the light. You have not been alone.”
“Tell the story of the mountain you climbed. Your words could become a page in someone else’s survival guide.”
“She will not worry. She will be just fine. She will brave this new season one day at a time.”
“Guard your heart from those that only love you in the shallow end; when you’re all made up, and out with friends. You were made for more than satisfying the eyes and momentary affections of those passing by. Your Maker has set a glorious depth in you, filled with purpose, intentions, grace and truth. And to love you, they must love Him, far beyond the shallow end.”
“The wild, unrestricted love of God is not simply and inspiring idea. When it imposes itself on mind and heart with the stark reality of truth, it determines why and at what time you get up in the morning, how you pass your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you hear and who you hang with. It affects what breaks your heart, what amazes you and what makes you happy.”
“When you know you are loved and seen by God, you live a different life. You no longer need attention or affection from others to feel satisfied. Even if you receive praise for your work or if you are noticed in a crowd, because you know you are loved and seen by God, your soul was complete before you ever got to those things.”
“You are allowed to show up fully in this life (even before you know what tomorrow looks like).”
“Not everyone believes in her and not everyone supports her. But her God goes with her and that’s what sustains her.”
“And the beautiful thing about God is this: even though we cannot fully comprehend His love, His love fully comprehends us.”
“One day you will wake up and all of the waiting will have made sense. You will realize that all of the prayers that seemed to be tangled in worries were actually wrapped tightly in God’s grace. You will realize that even though before, you were certain it was over, you were actually…okay, and everything that was supposed to happen happened and you are right where you need to be.”
“I hope tomorrow morning when you wake up, you will see the Light in everything. And not only in the sunrise, but in the places that are harder to find, like in the hallways where you are certain you are only passing time, and the gritty gold dust flooring between the floor and the blinds, and every little thing that catches your eye, I hope tomorrow morning when you wake up, you will see the Light in everything.”
