For those of you that don’t know, Melissa and I have been best friends for over 8 years. From high school to sleep overs to getting adult jobs in the real world, we’ve been through many transitions. Not the least of which will soon be her transition into marriage to one of the sweetest guys around, Edwin. I have had the pleasure of knowing Edwin as a friend and co-worker for a few years now, and I must say I couldn’t be happier that he’s joining the family. Yes, because when you marry one of us, you marry us all.
These two were engaged earlier this year, overlooking the most beautiful ocean view. I was totally bummed I couldn’t make it, but don’t worry–I was promptly FaceTime’d in to join in the celebration.
And what’s more? I had the honor of capturing their love on camera for their engagement pictures!
These were my favorite pictures because it showcased the natural, green beauty of the environment around us—also Edwin’s sock game was on point. As I mentioned before, at first, taking engagement pictures isn’t always a comfortable process for either party, even if you know the photographer! But after a few shots, things became a lot less awkward and a lot more fluid.
As you can see, these two are naturals in front of the camera and–between you and me–goofballs behind the scenes.
We ventured up to Berkeley, where these lovebirds will tie the knot in just a few weeks. First, we stopped at a sweet little picnic spot where the two of them got all dolled up in their Sunday (or maybe it was a Saturday) best.
Talk about GOLDEN HOUR!
I’m so excited for these two to tie the knot officially in November. As they say, go best friend(s) that’s my best friend(s)! Also, yes to these couples and their engagement ring choices. Can you say, gorgeous?
